AM CARRIER CURRENT RECEIVER
This receiver is an AM receiver designed to receive carrier current signals in the 200-350 kHz range from the power line that have been transmitted by a carrier current AM transmitter. The receiver has variable tuning that is adjusted internally via two trimmer capacitors. The receiver is a TRF type using an MC1350 IC as an RF amplifier feeding a diode detector and AGC system. Audio output is an LM386 IC amplifier delivering 0.5 watt of audio. The receiver has a volume control and built in coupling to the power line. Our AM88 or CCTR in the AM mode may be used with this receiver to make a carrier current broadcasting, intercom, or audio monitoring & surveillance system that is difficult to detect.
